When you connect the sensor to the alpina Smart home app, you get a push notification on your phone when movement is detected. Ideal for students or people who live alone and don't always feel safe. Thanks to the included adhesive stickers, you can place the motion detector on any doorframe or window. The alpina Smart home motion sensor for window or door is the perfect addition to your security systems. NOTE: The window and door sensor can only be used in combination with the Zigbee Gateway. When the alpina Smart home window or door sensor detects that a window or door is opened, it can send an alarm or push notification to your phone. This is done via the special alpina Smart home app that you can download for Android and Apple in the Google Play Store and the App Store. To connect the window or door sensor to the alpina Smart home app, select the option 'add sub-device' in the app. Press and hold the reset button on the sensor for at least 5 seconds until the indicator light comes on. Once the installation is complete you can start using the sensor. You can easily place the alpina Smart home window or door sensor on a doorpost or window frame using the adhesive stickers provided. In the alpina Smart home app you can, when you have multiple sensors, give each sensor a name. This way you can see in the app exactly which door or window is opened. The alpina Smart home Alarm is extremely sensitive. It detects movement when the door or window is opened only 15 millimetres. No uninvited guest will slip in unseen. Via the alpina Smart home app, you can set reminders to lock the door or close a window, for example. You can also use the app to set up a time schedule for the access detector. For example, stipulate that you only receive an alarm in the evening. That way, during the day, when you open or close windows and doors yourself, you won't receive any notifications. Because the motion sensor cannot connect to your wifi network independently, you can only use the door sensor in combination with the Zigbee Gateway. Within the alpina Smart home range, various products can be connected with each other. Think of the window or door sensor, the climate sensor, the leakage alarm and the vibration sensor. This all takes place via the separately purchased Zigbee Gateway. With this Zigbee Gateway, you can connect up to 50 different alpina Smart home devices together, allowing them to communicate with each other. The operation and settings of each device, including the Zigbee Gateway, can be edited with the alpina Smart home app.
