Prunus persica nucipersica has been in cultivation since its discovery in New Zealand in the late 1800’s. It is still prized for outstanding flavor, sweet and juicy white flesh and low chill requirement that allows it to grow in a wide range of climates. When planting, keep the base of the trunk exposed. Best in fertile, well-drained soil. Watering regularly until established. Prune when dormant, in late autumn or late winter. Apply a complete fertilizer formulated for fruit bearing varieties.
