Megatek supports families affected by the earthquake

Megatek has been committed since the first day of this disaster to be part of the process of collecting aid for families in need who were injured during the November 26 earthquake which affected the area of Durres and Thumana. These two areas were also the ones that recorded the most lost lives and damaged houses. Efforts have been made to stay close to these families by supporting them financially and materially.

In a collaboration with the Association of Albanian Producers, Megatek has completed in record time the canteen of the civil emergency camp that was set up in Thumane, two days after the disaster. More than 20 gas heaters have been installed in the emergency camp to alleviate the cold, and portable beds, camping umbrellas or blankets have been provided by Megatek to accommodate homeless families.

Megatek has always been in constant communication with state authorities and civil emergencies for every need expressed by them in this difficult moment that the entire Albanian nation is going through. Throughout the following days, Megatek has organized intensive meetings with all regional and european collaborators, defining a genuine support plan in the recovery of damages caused to all families affected by the earthquake.

Megatek especially appreciates the fact that a business to be successful needs a healthy society and environment. That is why Megatek has become part of this initiative by contributing to alleviating the situation in which the inhabitants of these areas find themselves.
